mydoterra.com/lewis05

So I have been dabbling in oils for a bit... sounds witch crafty,no?  And took the jump.  I want to make Steve's life with R.A. less painful and make our lives healthier in general.  I have been blown away already.  I gave my sister some of the Breathe blend to try, and she is at day 9 from having to use her inhaler 2-5 times a day, to have not used it since she started rubbing it on her chest in the mornings.  Steve is on the vitamins and the dna repair supplement, and while I am not delusional and thinking we will cure his r.a., am hoping for less pain in his life.  I started the Slim and Sassy supplement and am seeing results already.  There is still hope for bathing suit season!

Seriously, there are a million ways to use the oils, and the fact that doTERRA are one of a few if not the only oils that are tested to make sure that each one is 100 percent what it says it is ( not just 100 percent natural, because that includes weeds and grass ) I feel safe using them.  I have been getting nights of actual sleep since we started rubbing the kids feet with lavender and putting it in their vaporizers. My life is already for the better since using them, so let me know if you want the same :)  I have friends trying intune for their children with add/adhd, or onguard to battle sickness, I am so excited each time I hear their stories of how it is helping their families.

My site is www.mydoterra.com/lewis05  check it out, message me, whatever you want.  It is only $35 to sign up and then buy for yourself and your family at the whole sale prices plus then you earn points towards free product.  I don't mind people buying from me, but at the price, it is SO worth it for people to sign up for themselves to take care of their own families :D check it out ;)

New Year's Eve Balloon Drop

I used a tablecloth from the dollar store - a plastic one, a piece of yarn about 8' long, a hole puncher, and 75 balloons sizes 7 inch and 9 inch.

Step 1: Cut tablecloth in half to create two almost squares.

Step 2: Along the edge of each half, punch holes, approx 1" apart.  To save time, I just put both pieces on top of each other and punched the holes throw both.  This way too, the holes are all lined up.

Step 3: Thread yarn through holes, creating a "zipper" through the middle of the tablecloth, making sure to leave most of the yarn hanging from one side (this will become the ripcord when it's time for the drop).

Step 4: Hang the tablecloth from the ceiling. Duct tape works great.

Step 5: Blow up balloons.

Step 6: Place balloons in tablecloth.

When it's time for the balloon drop, quickly pull the yarn ripcord. The balloons will drop.  If you don't mind the clean up, feel free to add confetti :)

We did this for New Year's Eve, but would work great for any party!

Do you fondue?

ha this line makes me laugh every time... it is from Captain America if you don't know :)

So yes, when Scentsy announced it was going to make warmers for fondue, I was not too thrilled, to be honest.  I thought maybe we would be "dipping" our hands into too many pots and it was just going to be a disaster.  But I kept my debbie downer attitude to myself and figured wait to see the release and check it out.  OH MY GOODNESS!!!  Velata is AMAZING!!!  The warmers are exactly like their wax cousins but the "pot" is now silicone and I think slightly deeper.  Same 25 watt light bulb.  The chocolate is DIVINE!  And so easy to warm and pour into the pot.  I was thoroughly impressed ( and after growing up helping make chocolate suckers for honest half my life, I know a thing or too about warming chocolate... and burning it ;) )  Clean up is where it sealed the deal.  I have a mini table choc fountain I would honestly use more if the clean up was not such a pain.  The traces (yes traces because we honestly ate it all!) of chocolate left in the lid/pot were rinsed away instantly!  SO EASY!  We have used it twice since because it is that easy to use and the kids LOVE it.  It is perfect for bbq parties, summer nights, ladies' nights, anytime!  We are having fun thinking of new things to dip.  The kids especially loved dipping cut up rice krispie treats and girl scout cookies but also apples and bananas :)  so the question is... do you fondue? :)

How to clean a Microfiber Couch, chemically free!

When we bought the new house, we spent the little extra we had left over on a new couch.  It was a splurge for us, since we usually always buy second hand.  We loved this microfiber we found on sale and so we bought it, thinking we had heard they were easy to clean.  Ha, not so much.  But then my upline told me to use our Norwex Cleaning Paste and it worked AMAZING!  All you do is grab an Envirocloth and get it wet in hot water, rub it in the paste and wipe down your couch.  My hubs never knew how dirty the couch was getting from the kids because it works so well!  Then last weekend I had not gotten to it yet and we were cleaning for mom's day and he was freaking out that our couch was ruined, the kids had ruined our nice couch... ha!  So I busted out the norwex and like a half hour later it was dry and he was shocked :)  It looked amazing, and oh, it was CHEMICAL FREE (since norwex products are enzyme based ;)) so I didn't lose any brain cells from harsh fumes (which as a mom of 3, I don't have many brain cells left to afford to lose ;)) and the kids did not have to be out of the room (you can see the baby's foot print as he was jumping on the couch right after cleaning it but before it had fully dried :))

Just another hat tip to Norwex.  Have you discovered chemical free cleaning yet?  Clean your ENTIRE house with as few as 3 items : Envirocloth, Window Cloth, and Cleaning Paste !
